The DVS leads to the practice of the trade of ironworker in the construction industry.
This program of study allows the development of skills necessary for the installation of steel rods, bars, mesh and cables used to reinforce concrete.
The graduate of this program of study is also proficient in cutting, bending, straightening, fastening, laying and installing reinforcing steel used in the construction of columns, beams, slabs or other similar structures.

Due to a province-wide recruitment process, applications are evaluated based on the results of a battery of psychometric tests, the academic record, the labour needs of the applicant's region of origin and the number of available places.
