The profession consists of assembling, adjusting and positioning by welding previously cut and shaped metal pieces in order to produce a structural metal part (beam, column, member) or wrought metal part (staircase, railing, handrail, canopy, etc.)
The assembler then uses plans, machine tools, oxyfuel cutting and welding equipment to manufacture structural metal or wrought metal parts.

The applicant must have an interest in mathematics, plan reading, metallurgy, and assembly processes. He or she must be autonomous, methodical and concerned about health and safety rules in the workplace.
In addition, this person must be in good physical condition, have good manual dexterity for the use of tools and the ability to work in teams.
